Anchoring Pulse Feedback Values

Selecting Anchor Values

Pulse Feedback allows Coaches to customize the process to accommodate the needs of different clients. Now Coaches can choose descriptions to anchor the values of their chosen format and scale. This gives Participants and Supporters a clear understanding of the values presented on the scale within the Pulse Feedback survey.

Pulse Feedback Settings

When selecting the settings for Pulse Feedback, Coaches can now choose definitions to help anchor the values of their designated format and scale.

This new feature is available for Participants on projects that have not yet started the Pulse Feedback process. It cannot be retrofitted or changed on those programs that have already launched Pulse Feedback.

Start by clicking the gear icon on the top right corner of the page.

After the number of Pulse Feedback Rounds is set, pick the appropriate format (Traditional or Progress) and then select a scale from the drop-down menu options.

The anchor options are displayed under the selected scale. The anchor options vary depending on the scale selected. Choose the anchors that are best suited for the Pulse Feedback process of each engagement.

Below is an example of a Traditional Format with a 1 – 5 Scale:

Finally, determine the Privacy Setting and enable the Pulse Feedback email reminders. When finished, click the save button at the bottom of the page.

Pulse Feedback Survey

The selected anchors are displayed under the numeric values on the Pulse Feedback survey sent to the Participant and Supporters.

Providing Participants and Supporter with anchor values will ensure all parties have a consistent understanding when responding to a Pulse Feedback survey.
